In one of the most competitive and exciting finals Farnborough School took the year 10/11 boys Rugby Union title with an extra time winning try against Trinity School.
The 2 teams had qualified for the Grand Final after battling through against the 4 other teams in the previous 2 league nights and went toe to toe in a very physical and skilfull game.
With defences on top and wet conditions posession and territory was a priority and Trinity dominated the first half and took a deserved 5 - 0 lead with a try scored through en excellent flowing move.
In the second half the intensity lifted and the ground shook with some crunching tackles by both teams. It looked like Trinity would hang on for a famous victory until Farnborough gained some good territory near the Trinity line and crossed over for an equaling score. Farnborough then had a chance to take the lead with the conversion but it slipped agonisingly wide and with the clock ticking the full time whistle soon followed and the game went into extra time with the first score giving victory.
Farborough kicked off and quickly gained good possession in the Trinity half, and with a fine passage of play and the ball passing through many pairs of hands the Clifton team scored the decisive try in the right hand corner.
In the bronze medal play off group Ellis Guilford took the spoils with solid victories against Fernwood who came 4th and Bluecoat 5th.
