School Sport Nottingham, in partnership with the National Ice Centre, is bringing competitive ice-skating to the School Games calendar for the very first time!
Venue: National Ice Centre, Capital One Ice Rink
Date: Wednesday 13th February 2013
Time: 10.00am -12.00pm
This unique opportunity will allow children to access a facility unique to Nottingham and be able to showcase their skating skills. Could the next Torvill and Dean or Nottingham Panther be uncovered in your school?
� This is a FREE competition at a World Class Sporting Venue!
� Only 6 teams can enter, so early booking is essential
� Teams of 12 skaters (6 boys and 6 girls)
� Skills aimed at Years 4, 5 & 6
� Aimed at schools that have previously been involved in the schools skating programme
� Minimum of 5 main events (to include relays, lap race and ice hockey relay)
� Ice skills events to include: figure 8, slalom and hockey shooting techniques
� Arrive no later than 9.45am to allow time to put skates on and prepare for the competition
� Low cost transport provided via Why Nott? Transport
� Schools will be allocated to the competition on a first come, first served basis
